The city of Caneyville has issued a Boil Water Advisory for sections of the city.
The Caneyville Water Department said the advisory is in effect for residences along Hwy 79 North beginning at the intersection of Walnut Grove Rd and Hwy 79 and extending to 2253 Falls of Rough Rd, including all Caneyville customers on Watershed Rd, City Lake Rd, Kent Dr, and John Boy Dr.
All customers should have been notified by phone of the advisory.
Officials say that they “recommend bringing all water to a rolling boil, let it boil for three (3) minutes, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.”
Crews are currently working on remedying the issue.
