Ivory Ford, JR., age 79, of Louisville, KY, passed away Saturday, (October 30, 2021) in Louisville, KY.

He was born on April 1, 1942 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Ivory and Edith Eskridge Ford.

He worked as a machinist at Phillip Morris Tobacco Company. He enjoyed tinkering on antique John Deere tractors and rebuilding engines. His spare time was spent in his barn or mowing grass. He was a member of IAM Local # 681 and a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church in Louisville.

He is survived by his wife, Joanna Faye O’Bryan Ford of Louisville; three daughters, Veronica Sholar (Chris) of South Carolina, Karen Harrod of Louisville and Sharon Shelton (Tom) of Louisville; son, Douglas Ford (Brian) of Florida; five grandchildren, Jennifer Rader, M.B. Thielmeier, Ashley Witt, Kevin Hannahs and Adam Sholar; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Gloria Kay Thornberry of Falls of Rough.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mitchell Ford and a sister, Brenda Johnson.

Funeral Mass services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, (November 5, 2021) at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Axtel. Burial will be in the St Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Axtel.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 8:00 a.m. Friday until 9:15 a.m. at which time we will be leaving for the church.
