Wanda Lasley, age 74, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (October 30, 2021) at Springview Nursing and Rehab.
She was born on April 26, 1947 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late John Ralph and Ressie Blanton Nugent.
She had retired from the sewing factory, working as a seamstress. She was also an aide to the elderly. Wanda enjoyed watching TV and listening to gospel music. She and her husband, Donald, were married on August 15, 1964, just young teenagers. She was a member of the Holiness faith, attending church in Breckinridge County.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Lasley of Leitchfield; one daughter, Renee Hazelwood and her husband, Mark, of Leitchfield; granddaughters, Abigail Lewis and her husband, Noah, of Brownsville and Brittany Hazelwood of Leitchfield; one great-granddaughter, Zelda Grey Lewis; brothers, Robert Nugent (Mary), Wade Nugent and Johnny Nugent; sisters, (her twin), Sandra Hester and Bonnie Pauzie; and several nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, (November 6, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Antioch Christian Cemetery in Peonia.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of service.
The family requests that masks please be worn and also that no food is necessary.
