KSP Post 4 November Activity Report: Troopers arrest over 40 impaired drivers, make nearly 575 arrests

Kentucky State Police Post 4 in Elizabethtown has released its November Activity Report.

According KSP Post 4 Public Affairs Officer Scotty Sharp, troopers and detectives:

  • Wrote 2,342 citations and arrested 43 impaired drivers.
  • Opened 65 criminal cases, made 569 arrests and served 124 criminal court documents.
  • Cited 536 speeders and issued citations to 144 motorists for failure to wear a seat belt, with 11 citations issued for failure to use a child restraint seat.
  • Investigated 69 motor vehicle accidents and assisted 124 stranded motorists.
  • Gave 245 courtesy notices for minor traffic offenses.
  • Conducted 117 school and business security checks and answered 806 citizen complaints.
  • Were involved in 428 special details and conducted 41 community programs.

Sharp reminds motorists that KSP Post 4 troopers will conduct Road Safety Checkpoints as well as Speed Checkpoints throughout the eight county Post 4 coverage area during December.

Kentucky State Police Post 4 covers Hardin, Jefferson, Bullitt, Nelson, Meade, Breckinridge, LaRue, and Grayson counties.
