A Hardin County man has been accused of assaulting a woman while holding her hostage for five days.

Fezell Jones IV, 33, of Radcliff, allegedly held a woman hostage at his home between September 22 and September 26, 2021.

The News-Enterprise reports that according to the arrest warrant, which was issued on September 27, Jones held a knife to the woman’s neck and made her beg for her life during the five days she was not allowed her to leave his presence.

She had, the newspaper reports, “what appeared to be defensive wounds to both hands from the knife, and a minor laceration on the victim’s neck from the knife.” Jones is accused of holding the victim “by threat, intimidation and actions.”

The victim was able to get away from Jones when he left the residence. She immediately contacted the Radcliff Police Department.

Jones was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with second-degree domestic violence, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, intimidating a participant in the legal process, fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), second-degree stalking, and third-degree terroristic threatening.

He’s being held in the Hardin County Detention Center.
