(Caneyville, KY) Thursday morning at approximately 9:15, Kentucky State Police received a call from Grayson County dispatch in regards to a child who was found unresponsive by a family member at a home in Caneyville.
Police and EMS responded to 104 Cherry Street where they found Keaton Runsvold, the 23-month old son of Chasity Lucas and Phillip Runsvold, unresponsive. The boy was then rushed by EMS to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 9:36 a.m..
An autopsy is schedule for Friday in Louisville at the State Medical Examiner's Office. It is suspected the boy ingested an unknown substance, and because of that suspicion, Kentucky State Police conducted a search of the residence. Toxicology results are pending.
The investigation is ongoing and is being led by State Police Detective Aaron Gabhart. K105 will have more details as they become available.
