3 Alarm Fire Destorys St. Paul Home

(St. Paul, KY) – It was a three alarm fire that destroyed the home of a St. Paul resident Monday night.

Grayson County Central Dispatch received the call at 11:10 p.m. that the home at 4825 St. Paul Road was on fire.

When the East Grayson County Volunteer Fire Department arrived to the scene the home and garage were fully engulfed, according to Fire Chief Bob Williams.

The home owner, Josh Petty, was at work when the blaze broke-out.

Williams said the American Red Cross was called to the scene to assist Petty with his immediate needs.

No one else lived in the home and no injuries were reported.

The Clarkson and Leitchfield Fire Departments assisted the EGCVFD.

The cause of the fire is undetermined due to the extent of the damage to the home when the fire department arrived on-scene.

The departments cleared the scene at 4:14 a.m. Tuesday morning, and the EGCVFD was called back to the home at 6:50 a.m. after the fire rekindled.
