(Leitchfield, KY) – Warren RECC held their first ever Safety Day on Friday, May 10, 2013, at their facilities in Leitchfield. Every 4th grader who attends Grayson County public schools convened for a day of safety tips from a collaboration of different agencies. The Kentucky State Police, Grayson County Sheriff’s Dept. and Leitchfield Police Dept. worked with the students about gun and drug safety. The Corps of Engineers taught about water safety, as the G.C. Extension Agency made the students aware of snakes, spiders, and ATV safety. Crop Production and Wright Implement informed the students of farm machinery safety, as WRECC employees taught the students how to remain safe with electricity. Overall, the students were entertained, educated and treated to pizza for lunch on a dreary rainy day.
On Sunday morning at approximately 10:53, Deputy Bryan Hammons responded to West Elmwood Drive in Wax to investigate a golf cart crash, according to a Grayson County Sheriff’s Department press release. (MORE)
