Anna Ruth Meredith, 81, of Leitchfield, formerly of Louisville, passed away on the evening of May 10, 2013 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center. She was the former Anna Ruth Neuner and a lady of many talents. She loved to shop thrift stores as she was very frugal. Ruth was an excellent cook and loved whipping up a meal in no time for her family and friends. She was known as the peace maker in the family and always provided wisdom, knowledge and strength to any given situation. Her awesome memory and sociable and friendly manner led her to never meet a stranger. Ruth had been a member of the United Church of Christ all through her life.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace John "Red" and Edna Margaret Lotz Neuner; her husband, Alvin Meredith; daughter, Sharon Ann Meredith; brothers, Alvin Edward and Wallace Henry "Boe" Neuner; sisters, Edna Margaret Neuner Haycraft and Virginia Louise Neuner Worman.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Thomas Lee Meredith of Leitchfield, KY; granddaughter, Nicole Michelle Meredith of Indianapolis, IN; former daughter-in-law, Monique Meredith of Indianapolis, IN; 34 nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation at the Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Leitchfield, KY., on Thursday May 16, 2013, from 2-9 p.m.
An additional visitation will be at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY., on Friday, May 17, 2013 from 2-8 p.m.
The Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at noon at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park.
