Anthony Phillips, 25

Anthony Phillips, age 25, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (July 5, 2017) at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on October 23, 1991 in Louisville, KY, the son of John Robert Phillips and Teresa
Michele Woosley Coleman.

He worked at Mid-Park Metals and had attended ECTC, where he received his associate’s degree. Anthony enjoyed electronics and computers, and super hero collectibles, such as Captain America, and Star Wars memorabilia. He was a member of Falls of Rough Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Shayna Cook Phillips of Caneyville; mother and step-father, Teresa and David Wayne Coleman of Leitchfield; father and step-mother, John Robert and Saundra Phillips of Louisville; his siblings, Ryan Berry, Whitney King, Charles Phillips, Jonathan Phillips, Jason Coleman, Daniel Coleman, and Gil Hernandez; grandparents, Charles and Donna Woosley of Leitchfield, Anita Russell and Joey Nall of Louisville, and Shirley Coleman of Leitchfield; his father-in- law and mother-in- law, Darrell and Phyllis Cook of Leitchfield; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. His “baby girl”, Jasmyne, a black lab and Australian shepherd mixed dog, also survives and will miss him very much.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, George Phillips and Robert Coleman.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (July 8, 2017) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Roger Allen will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
