Brenda Tomes Weedman, age 69, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Sunday, (August 13, 2017) at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.
She was born on January 29, 1948, in Grayson Co., KY, the daughter of the late Otha and Ruby Clark Tomes. She was married to Dorman Weedman on September 3, 1965.
She is survived by husband, Dorman Weedman, a daughter, Beverly “Renee” Nae Weedman and a son and daughter-in- law, Ronald “Darren” Dagwood and Melissa Willis Weedman, two granddaughters, Shelbi and Isabella “Izzie” Weedman, all of Leitchfield, a special nephew and great niece, Joe and Maddy Wieland, of Leitchfield, one sister, Eugenia (Jeanie) Wieland of Leitchfield, three brothers-in- law, Jerry (Beverly) and Myron (Sherry) Weedman of
Caneyville and Randy (Alfredia) Weedman of Leitchfield, two sisters-in- law, Sherlene (Chester) Fentress of Caneyville and Mary Francis (Charlie) Smith of Millwood, KY, seven nephews and six nieces, one nephew deceased, and several great nieces and nephews.
She was a Real Estate Broker, who enjoyed Quilting, Canning and gardening and was a member of Pleasant Valley United Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (August 19, 2017) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bros. Jerry Weedman, Cecil Williams, Blake Newton and Randy Meredith will be officiating. Burial will be in the Si Hughes Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
