The Grayson County Humane Society filled the James D. Beville Park in Leitchfield Saturday morning with pet lovers and their pets, along with hope for the local shelter. The “Cause for Paws” 5K Walk/Run raised approximately $450, according to Lindsey Shaffer, shelter volunteer. The Grayson County Humane Society takes in stray animals and allows the public to adopt the animals. There is an adoption fee, which covers the animals shots and to have the animal spayed/neutered. The shelter is funded through donations and ran by volunteers. K105's "In The Know" spotlights an animal from the Grayson County Humane Society every Wednesday; the shows airs at 9:00 a.m.
