Central City -- The Kentucky State Police arrested two Muhlenberg County residents for drug-related offenses after executing a search warrant late last week.
On Thursday, Kentucky State Police Troopers Jon McGehee and Jacob Fortney, along with Sergeant Tim Sales, Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department, and the Central City Police Department, executed a search warrant at a residence on West Reservoir in Central City. Upon executing the warrant, marijuana, prescription medication, methamphetamine, and items used to distribute controlled substances were located.
Erica Smith, 26, of Central City was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, First Degree (Methamphetamine); Trafficking in Marijuana, and Possession of a Controlled Substance (unspecified), among other charges.
Carl Belcher, 48, of Central City, KY was also arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, First Degree (Methamphetamine); Trafficking in Marijuana and Possession of a Controlled Substance, Second and Third Degree (unspecified), among other charges.
Both Smith and Belcher were lodged in the Muhlenberg County Jail.
