Clarkson's Outstanding Redhawks

Clarkson Elementary 2nd grade Redhawks have had an outstanding school year.  Of the 101 second grade students, 7 have read enough books to earn over 70 Accelerated Reader points and 4 have been on their best behavior and not moved from the “Sunny” position on the behavior chart.  Two students, Brayden Kingrey and Summer Landis, scored Distinguished across the board in Math and Michenna Meredith scored Distinguished across the board in Reading.

One family made a huge change this year.  Liam Stewart is new to Clarkson, he lived in Germany until he moved to Grayson County.  Germany is over 9 hours away by airplane.  Can you imagine being on an airplane for a whole school day AND two hours?  If you could drive a vehicle to Germany, it would take 7 ½ days.  Other families have had changes with the upcoming arrival or recent arrivals of babies.  Six Redhawks are soon to be or new big brothers or sisters!

Hannah Franklin will soon be a Level Two on the Twin Lakes Allstars Cheer Team!  Hannah has been team member for 2 years and begins her 3rd season in September.

Congratulations to all Clarkson 2nd graders for a great year!  Hard work and good behavior does pay off!!  Good luck to each of you on your upcoming year as a Clarkson Redhawk 3rd grader!
