A small child has died after an apparent bathtub drowning in Laurel County.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said a death investigation is underway after a six-year-old boy was found unresponsive in a bathtub at 10:00 Tuesday night at a residence just south of London. Police said the mother found the child in the bathtub and called 911.
The Laurel County Coroner’s Office pronounced the boy dead at the scene.
The body underwent an autopsy in Frankfort on Wednesday to determine the cause of death.
