Dump truck wrecks on Hwy 62, lands atop railroad track

The East Grayson Fire and Grayson County Sheriff’s Departments responded to a single-vehicle accident on Hwy 62 at the Grayson and Hardin County line just after 11:00 on Monday morning.

A Jimmy Stinson Contracting and Excavating dump truck, driven by 75-year old James Stinson, was driving west on Hwy 62 when Stinson lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway and struck the earthen berm that the railroad track -- running parallel to the road -- sits on top of. The force of the impact propelled the truck on top of the railroad track.

Stinson was transported to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center by EMS with minor injuries.
