Fatal motorcycle accident on I-65

On Sunday afternoon, Kentucky State Police responded to motorcycle versus car accident on Interstate 65 South at the 85 mile marker, near the Glendale exit, in Hardin County.

State police confirm that two motorcycles, one carrying a man, Gerald Wayne Flowers, and the other his wife, Miranda Flowers, simultaneously ran into the back of an SUV at a high rate of speed. Miranda Flowers was killed in the accident, while her husband was flown to a hospital in Louisville, where he remains.

The southbound lanes of I-65 were re-routed at the Glendale Exit (86) for over three hours while police officials reconstructed the fatal accident.
