The Grayson County School Board approved three change orders associated with the nearly complete new central office building on Thursday night. The change orders are all credits, and amount to nearly $6,000.00.
The Board also agreed to create a certified Arts/Humanities teaching position; with the teacher splitting his/her time between the high school and middle school.
Ann Decker, formerly an instructional aide at Clarkson Elementary, was granted a leave of absence for the 2014-2015 school year in order for her to pursue a teaching degree at Western Kentucky University.
It was also announced at the meeting that Erika DeVore, who has taught at the high school for 10 years, will be the new principal at Clarkson Elementary, replacing the retiring Kerry Reeves. Additionally, Gwen Lucas, outgoing principal at Wilkey, will serve as the Alternative High School’s first principal.
