Grayson County Annual Chamber of Commerce Dinner & Awards
The Grayson County Chamber of Commerce held its annual membership dinner last night. A capacity crowd was on hand for the awards ceremony and guest speaker Kim Huston, the author of Small Town Sexy.
School Superintendent Barry Anderson presented the Education Award to Linda Baxter for her 39 years of service at Grayson County High. Wayne Meriwether presented the Spark Plug Award to Dr. Bret Abney. The Community Service Award was presented to retired Kentucky State Trooper and current School Resource Officer Norman Chaffins. That award was presented by Leitchfield Police Chief Kevin Henderson. Kevin Brooks recognized the accounting firm of Buckles, Travis, VanMeter & Hart as the Small Business Of The Year. Dr. Joe Petrocelli received the President's Award from Wes Basham and Judge Kenneth Goff received the Chamber's highest honor, the Twin Lakes Award. Darrell Moll spoke on behalf of the Chamber, recognizing Judge Goff's many years of service as a pillar of the community.
