At Thursday night Leitchfield Utilities meeting, Commissioners approved the purchase of an ice machine for the utility.

Previously, Public Works and Leitchfield Utilities shared a machine, but with Pubic Works recently moving to a new location, the purchase of a new machine for Utilities was necessitated. The cost of the ice machine was nearly $3,200.

City Clerk/Treasurer Lori Woosley said that an IT expert recently investigated an internet-related issue at Leitchfield City Hall and reported that the problem may be an “access point.” Internet access remains available in certain parts of the building, but is problematic throughout most of City Hall.

Internet service personnel will continue to look into the problem in an attempt to isolate the exact cause of the disruption.
