Wednesday night at 11:20, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Leitchfield Police Department, Anneta Fire Department, and EMS responded to the 6700 block of Anneta Road on the report of a single-vehicle accident.
Upon arriving at the scene, Deputy Fred Norder found that a 16-year-old Leitchfield girl flipped a 2014 Ford Taurus after losing control of the vehicle.
Based on marks at the scene, and Dep. Norder’s investigation, the driver, traveling north, was unable to negotiate a sharp curve as she lost control of the car coming out of the curve. The
Ford crossed the southbound lane and a shallow ditch before striking a small earthen embankment head-on, flipping the car end-to-end at least once.
The vehicle landed on its top as it came to rest in the side yard of a residence.
The driver, who was able to get of the vehicle on her own, was evaluated at the scene by EMS and was not transported to the ER.
