(Clarkson, KY) – A Grayson County Magistrate was arrested over the weekend by the Kentucky State Police.
Curtis Wells, 6th District Magistrate, and another man were observed entering a vehicle parked on the side of the Western Kentucky Parkway west bound.
Trooper Brandon Brooks reported in the citation that he detected a strong odor of alcohol when he spoke with Wells, who was driving the vehicle, and noted his eyes were bloodshot.
The citation reported that Wells stated he had been drinking alcohol while in Louisville.
Brooks stated Wells was unsteady on his feet and the portable breathalyzer test was over the legal limit.
Wells was taken the Grayson County Detention Center and charged with Possession of Open Alcohol Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle Prohibited and Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence Alcohol .08 – 1st Offense.
