(Big Springs, KY) – A man is dead of a gunshot wound in Breckinridge County, after officers were called to a domestic dispute.
The shooting occurred Saturday at approximately 1:35 p.m. ET. Breckinridge County Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call in reference to a domestic dispute with shots fired, according to Kentucky State Police Public Affairs Officer, Norman Chaffins.
When Troopers arrived they discovered that Joshua Babb (32) of Big Springs, KY had died from a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead by the Breckinridge County Coroner at approximately 1:56 p.m. ET.
Babb’s estranged wife, Ashley Babb, was at the residence when the shooting occurred.
Tpr. Jason Drane is conducting the ongoing investigation. He was assisted at the scene by other Troopers, the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Department and the Breckinridge County EMS.
