1.) Managing Your Meals Have you been told you have diabetes, need to lose weight, or just need to learn how to eat healthy? These classes are for you! Come learn what meal plan to follow and how to follow it. When: Thursday, February 9, 2012 Time: Initial class 8:30-9:30 AM CST Initial class will go over how to follow a meal plan, and gather necessary information to develop a meal plan for each individual. Follow up- 10:00-11:00 AM CST Follow-up classes will go over how each individual is doing with their meal plans, and teach a new topic, including sticking to my meal plan, label reading, exercise and eating, portion sizes, etc… Location: Grayson County Health Department These classes will be conducted by a registered dietitian or nurse depending on topic and availability. Grayson County Diabetes Coalition: Open to anyone with interest in improving the lives of people that are affected by diabetes through promotion of early diagnosis, reduction of complications, prevention, and elimination of diabetes. Our diabetes educator will give you the knowledge you need to control your diabetes now and avoid dangerous complications in the future.
