U.S. Senator Mitch McConnel has again appeared to freeze while speaking to reporters on Wednesday.

McConnell, the Senate Minority Leader, was speaking to reporters in Covington when he froze for about 30 seconds after being asked if he was planning to run for reelection.

One of McConnell’s aides asked the 81-year-old senator if he heard the question, but he failed to respond.

McConnell regained his faculties and responded briefly to a question about Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron, who formally worked for the senator and is the GOP nominee for governor. An aide, though, had to repeat the question.

He then left the press opportunity.

The senator will, according to an aide, consult with a doctor about the episode.

In late July, McConnell froze during a press conference in Washington, D.C .
