In order to help freshmen become more prepared for high school, Grayson County High School is hosting a "Freshman Transition Day" on Monday from 1:00 until 4:00.
From 4:00 until 5:00, food will be provided for participating freshmen, and from 5:00 until 7:00 parents will be able to tour the school and meet teachers and administrators.
During this time, students will participate in different activities that include learning new study skills, a scavenger hunt, team building and relay races, and a college and career activity, among several others.
Many current GCHS students will serve on a student panel, and help the new freshmen within their groups.
Additionally, GCHS T-shirts will be given out during the Freshmen Transition Day which will enable all incoming freshmen to have clothing to support their school.
