On Monday, Kentucky State Police arrested a Metcalfe County man and charged him with murder.
Police said 46-year-old Bobbie Lawson, of Summer Shade, was arrested after the Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office found a deceased person at a residence on Nobob Summer Shade Road, about 15 miles north of Tompkinsville.
In addition to murder, Lawson was charged with tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse. He was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be determined, according to authorities, but an autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Louisville.
Police are not releasing additional information at this time.
