Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center press release regarding TLRMC CEO Wayne Meriwether being named to a statewide leadership position:
The 2014-2015 Board of Trustees for the Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) officially took office on July 1st and Grayson County is represented on the leadership team. Wayne Meriwether, MHA, Chief Executive Officer at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center is one of three trustees representing the Ohio Valley Region. The other Ohio Valley District Trustees are David Gray, President of Baptist Health/Louisville and John D. Harryman, President of Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville.
“The KHA is the voice for 127 out of 130 hospitals in Kentucky and it is an honor to represent TLRMC as well as the other hospitals in Central Kentucky as a member of this governing board,” Meriwether said.
Michael Rust, president of the Kentucky Hospital Association, said he’s delighted with the strong leadership represented on the 2014-2015 Board of Trustees.
“The delivery of health care today is quite different than it was even a decade ago,” Rust said. “Health care has always been complex, but today’s challenges are intensified. Taking care of more patients with less reimbursement, and addressing the increased demand for services as it outpaces the growth in the number of physicians who will provide care to the expanded Medicaid population will be at the crux of governance in the next year. We are thankful that in Kentucky we have a talented pool of hospital administrators with strong health care acumen to lead us in the development and implementation of health policies that enhance hospitals’ ability to deliver health care services to their communities.”
By having employees serve in leadership roles for groups like the KHA, Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center can stay in front on important healthcare policies and trends that will affect the hospital, its employee and providers, and its patients.
