Trooper Brandon Brooks investigating double-fatality accident in Nelson County

Friday night at about 5:30, Kentucky State Police responded to a multiple vehicle collision in Nelson County.

Police said 34-year-old Tayseer Lewis, of Brandenburg, was traveling south on Hwy 245 (New Shepherdsville Road) in a 2000 Ford F-150 truck, while 34-year-old Krystal Fauth, of Coxs Creek, was traveling north in a Hyundai Elantra. Amber Tingle, 25, of Shepherdsville, was driving a 1995 Ford Mustang north with a passenger, 30-year-old Billie Watts, of Coxs Creek.

For unknown reasons, Lewis crossed into the northbound lanes, first striking the rear of the Hyundai before hitting the Mustang head-on, according to police.

Lewis was extricated from the vehicle and transported to University of Louisville Hospital with serious injuries. Tingle and Watts were also extricated from their vehicle and transported to University of Louisville Hospital where they were later pronounced dead.

Toxicology results are pending and the accident is under investigation by KSP Trooper and accident re-constructionist Brandon Brooks.
