Two people indicted on sexual abuse charges involving children



Two people have been indicted for sexual abuse offenses after investigations initiated by Kentucky State Police.

KSP began an investigation into allegations of sexual abuse of children last month in Butler County. The investigation was presented to the Butler County Grand Jury on April 22.

On April 30, Kentucky State Police served indictment warrants on 33-year old Mike Grise of Morgantown. Grise was arrested for 13 counts of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree (Victim Less than 12-years old); 11 counts of Sodomy in the First Degree (Victim Less than 12-years old), and 11 counts of Rape in the First Degree (Victim Less than 12-years old).

Grise is currently lodged in the Butler County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.

Kentucky State Police also began an investigation into the allegations of sexual abuse of multiple children over several decades. As a result of that investigation, the Butler County Grand Jury returned indictments on 66-year old Lloyd Garrison Bandy, who is currently incarcerated in the Kentucky State Penitentiary for other sexually based offenses.

Bandy was indicted for 3 counts of Rape in the First Degree (Victim Less than 12-years old), 10 counts of Sodomy in the First Degree (Victim Less than 12-years old); 20 counts of  Sexual Abuse in the First Degree (Victim Less than 12-years old), and being a Persistent Felony Offender.

Bandy is lodged at the Kentucky State Penitentiary at Eddyville. This is also an ongoing investigation.
