William Randal Decker, age 86, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (August 4, 2014) in Corydon, IN. He was born on November 17, 1927, in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late James Hobert and Lura Saltsman Decker.
He was a retired bricklayer, and member of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, Local 4-INKY. He enjoyed fishing, wood-working, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his two sons, James “Bubby” Decker (Candy), of Brandenburg, KY and David Decker (Jennipher), of Taylorsville, KY; four daughters, Terry Crosier (Jerry) of Laconia, IN, Faye Singleton (Mike) of Wolf Creek, KY, Wendy Ashley (Donnie) of Brandenburg, KY, and Jane Wethington (Tony) of Ekron, KY; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and special friend, Irene Decker.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Eskridge Decker, sister, Ina Basham, brother, Billie Lee Decker, and grandson, Nicholas Ashley.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. CST Wednesday, (August 6, 2014) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Curtis Decker will be officiating. Burial will be in the Wortham Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CST on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
