(Falls of Rough, KY)-Another Meth Lab has been shut down in Grayson County. Sheriff’s Detective Terry Blanton said he had a different agenda when he came across the working lab.
Tuesday morning Blanton said he was had driven to 293 Rock Ledge Road to serve a warrant on a female who lived at that address. He said when he approached the mobile home he could smell the strong scent of methamphetamine.
Blanton said when he walked into the home there were jars full of chemicals, lithium batteries, soaking pseudo ephedrine pills and finished meth product. He said Jeff Kerr (39) confessed he was responsible for the meth lab.
Blanton said Kerr had recently been released from jail on shoplifting charges. He said Kerr claimed the meth was for his personal use and he had been working on the meth for three days.
Kerr was arrested and charged with Manufacturing Meth 1st Offense and Possession of Marijuana. Blanton said more charges could be forthcoming.
The Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement Specialized Investigation Unit removed and disposed of the meth lab.
