Grayson County Sheriff’s Deputy Bryan Hammons said he was called to the Clarkson Drug Store after Lewis Dewayne Cook (29) of Leitchfield was reported by an employee to have an altered or forged prescription in his possession. Deputy Hammons said Cook was arrested and charged with Attempt/Obtain Controlled Substance by Fraud/False Statement/Forgery-1st Offense. He said Cook ousted his partner in crime during his arrest and confessed that Brian Bryant was the person he was obtaining the drugs for and Bryant was waiting for him at the Clarkson City Park.
Deputy Hammons said Bryant was arrested for an outstanding Parole Violation Warrant. A female with Bryant was also wanted on a Parole Violation Warrant and was arrested. The females name was not disclosed.
