Detective Terry Blanton was led to the home of Christopher Hertzog and Heather Nicole McGuffin on Miller Orchard Road in Caneyville last Monday through an investigation of possible drug activity. When Detective Blanton arrived on-scene and began to search the area Christopher Hertzog was found hiding behind a lawn mower. Hertzog fled on foot and was able to escape. At around 7:30pm Saturday evening Deputy Bryan Hammons and Special Deputy Dave Colston was led to the home of Jamie Willoughby at 11033 Owensboro Road in the Short Creek area, through a tip that Hertzog was using the residence as a hideout.
When the deputies arrived on-scene Hertzog was found hiding behind a wood pile. He attempted to run from the officers but this time his luck had run out. Hertzog was taken into custody and lodged at the Grayson County Detention Center.
Willoughby was also arrested and charged with Hindering Prosecution/Apprhension-1st Degree.
