Friday the office asked the sheriff’s department to investigate the home located at 6994 Morrison Lane, Caneyville. He said the office said they had received complaints that the residents were “cooking meth.”
Blanton said the sheriff’s department and Kentucky State Police teamed up with the Butler County Sheriff’s Department since the property sat so close to the Butler County line.
Blanton said no one answered the door but he saw an item of drug paraphernalia on the armrest of a couch. What Blanton saw was enough for his to obtain a search warrant for the residence.
When Blanton returned to the residence with the search warrant and it was executed, three suspects were found hiding inside of the home. He said a working meth lab was found at the edge of the woods of the home.
Arrested was William E. Downs who live at the home. Downs was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine. Natalie Logsdon (Leitchfield) was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth) and Jessica Hendrick (Caneyville) was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance (Meth) and Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursor. All three were lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
The Kentucky State Police DESI Unit was responsible for the cleanup of the lab.
