Just before Noon the Grayson County Sheriff’s Department was asked to investigate a truck that was discovered submerged in the waters of the Eveleigh Boat Dock. Deputy Bryan Hammons said the truck belonged to a Louisville couple who were attempting to put a boat in the waters earlier that morning.
While on-scene for over two hours, Hammons said the Louisville based couple never showed up at the scene but he spoke with them and they confirmed no one was in the vehicle when it entered the waters. They claimed to have left the truck in neutral and it rolled into the water.
Leitchfield Fireman and Diver Brandon Sims is responsible for hooking the wrecker cables to the underwater truck so it could be pulled from the water. Sonny’s Wrecker Service was responsible for towing the truck.
