Randy Langley: Re- Elected to FSA County Committee
Sandra Chilress Reporting
(Leitchfield, KY) - On December 7, 2012 the Grayson County FSA Committee tabulated ballots for this year’s Grayson County Farm Service Agency Committee election. The current Committee is comprised of Randy Langley, Ray Ramsey, and Glenn Higdon; Fran Brooks serves with the Committee as a female advisor.
Randy Langley, a combination poultry/grain/cattle farmer in the Short Creek community of Grayson County, was re-elected to serve a three-year term beginning January 1, 2013. Randy and his wife Bonnie have operated their farming operation for several years and Randy has previously served two full terms as County Committeeman.
Randy will join Glenn and Ray in serving the farmers of Grayson County as a policy-making board of directors for county Farm Service Agency operations. The farmer-elected Committee system is a grassroots structure that provides local input into the administration of federal farm programs. Within federal guidelines, the Committee establishes program criteria for farm programs, oversees local county office operations, and acts as a judgmental body in the case of program violations.
The FSA welcomes Randy into the Committee system and wants to express its appreciation for his time and effort in participation.
