Grayson County Officers Train for School Shooter
Several Grayson County emergency response teams met Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 at the Grayson County High School for Rapid Response Training.  Leitchfield Police School Resource Officer Braxton Allen, who is stationed at the high school, went through a slide show that reviewed the tactical side of handling a school intruder.  Officials with the Grayson County Sheriff’s Department, Leitchfield Police Office, Grayson County EMS and Kentucky Fish and Wildlife were joined with GCHS Principal Todd Johnston and Assistant Principal George Meredith.  Grayson County Sheriff Rick Clemons said the team worked out the logistics of command centers for Grayson County Emergency Management, fire departments, safe spots for students and parents’ pickup areas.  He said they will work throughout the year to work out the same logistics for every school in the county.
