Councilman Raymond “Tooty” Cottrell said he had received complaints that one restaurant had moved out tables and chairs to move in pool tables, diminishing their ability to seat 100 people, which is part of the Limited 100 ordinance.
Limited 100, which is the alcohol ordinance voted into Leitchfield on March 23, 2011, says if a restaurant wants to serve alcohol, they must seat at least 100 people and derive at least 70 percent of their sales from food.
Police Chief Bart Glenn says he has also received complaints about a couple of local restaurants, which were left unnamed, and he has contacted the Dept. of Alcohol Beverage Control and they are planning to investigate.
No other details about the Alcoholic Beveralge Control’s investigation were released.
