The Grayson County Water District is issuing a BOIL WATER ADVISORY for all customers living between the intersection of Elizabethtown Rd (hwy 62) and 564 Spurrior Rd, all of Sugar Branch Rd, and all of Morrison Rd in the Big Clifty area.
They recommend bringing all water to a rolling boil, let it boil for three (3) minutes, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.
People with severely compromised immune systems, infants, and some elderly may be at increased risk. These people should seek advice from their health care providers about drinking water.
The district apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused you. This advisory was issued as a precautionary action and can only be lifted with the approval of the Kentucky Division of Water. When all appropriate laboratory testing is completed and the Kentucky Division of Water allows, the advisory will be lifted.
