Free fliers guide military, veterans to student aid sources

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Feb. 27, 2013) — A four-page flier available free from the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA) provides student financial aid information for members of the Armed Forces and veterans. A similar flier is geared toward the spouses and dependents of service members and veterans.

Both fliers provide capsule descriptions of state and federal financial aid programs geared toward service members, veterans and their spouses and dependents. Each also includes a section that lists additional resources from which those target groups can get help or information.

The fliers were created as part of KHEAA’s participation in First Lady Jane Beshear’s initiative to help military spouses with resources for continuing their education.

To order copies of the fliers, email publications@kheaa.com or use the order form on www.kheaa.com.
To learn how to plan and prepare for higher education, go to www.gotocollege.ky.gov. For more information about Kentucky scholarships and grants, visit www.kheaa.com; write KHEAA, P.O. Box 798, Frankfort, KY 40602; or call (800) 928-8926, ext. 6-7372.
