Local Student Earns National DECA Honor



Leah Zurmehly, a senior at Grayson County High School has been awarded the 2013 DECA Emerging Leader Honor Award. This award recognizes students studying marketing, finance, hospitality and management for being an academically prepared, community oriented, professionally responsible, experienced leaders through participation in DECA. Award recipients must be a DECA member in their senior year of high school with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better for each high schools semester. Leah is the daughter of David and Stephanie Zurmehly of Leitchfield. The Grayson County DECA chapter advisor is Cynthia Smith, shown above with Zurmehly.
