GCHS ACT Pep Rally

Who says studying can’t be fun? GCHS juniors were treated to their very own pep rally as they readied to take the ACT test last week. Mr. Johnston kicked things off with a quiz of rival schools’ benchmarks, which found the Cougars ahead of all but one school.  No gathering is complete these days without its own version of the “Harlem Shake” - this one started by a “mystery” wildcat (Gavin Logsdon), and joined by students and teachers alike.  Saturday Night Live’s celebrity “motivational” speaker Matt Foley (David Morgan) was able to convince students played Lacy Cox and Jonathon Devore that studying hard for their ACT test sure beat the consequences. And teachers scored the “W” as they took on juniors in a dodge ball battle for the ages. Go juniors – beat those benchmarks!
