Remix, an entertaining and high-energy motivational team that mixes education with entertainment recently made a stop at Grayson County High School to put on a show – with a message – just for freshmen and sophomores.
Based out of Lexington, Remix provides unique programs complete with hilarious mascot skits, crazy stunts, interactive games, and plenty of motivation to get students pumped up. The company was formed by ex-UK mascot Matt Hogg and his wife Jenny, a former UK cheerleader.
The team's brief, fast-moving segments focused primarily on the power of making good choices. Saying no to drugs, to bullying, selecting friends wisely, are choices that direct each person's life, and those choices should be made wisely. The motivational message was sprinkled with wacky interactive games featuring life-size hamster balls and toilet paper streamers, all part of the design to bring a mix of students together.
"I personally cannot say enough good things about the presentation," said GCHS counselor Diane Horn. She praised the program as "very upbeat and entertaining," and continued that students were eager to be involved, "which was just awesome to see!"
Remix performs around the country for school and church groups. For more information visit their website www.remixeducation.com.
