GCMS 8th-grader, Kelsey Logsdon was selected to serve in the state legislature as a page to Rep. C.B. Embry. Logsdon was chosen based on an essay written for competitive selection and sponsored by Family Resource Centers. Logsdon enjoyed the experience, especially meeting the 30 other pages from across the state and working together to help the legislators. The day included a visit from a Canadian trade representative and bill debate. Logsdon has participated in Kentucky Youth Assembly (KYA) for the past two years as both a bill author and, this year, as a member of the leadership team. She plans to continue her involvement in KYA in high school. She is the daughter of Andy and Pam Logsdon of Clarkson.
