(Leitchfield, KY) – The Cecillian Bank is warning Grayson County residents about a possible phone phishing scheme. They have received reports of this scheme today, Tuesday, March 26, 2013, from both customers and non-customers of the bank.
The scheme is an automated phone call stating that the person’s bank debit card has been closed. The call later asks the victim to punch in their card number and personal identification number.
Please be advised that this call is not coming from The Cecilian Bank, or other banks.
On cellular devices, the caller ID shows up as 4-9-9. If you have given any information to this fraudulent call, please contact your bank immediately so they can take the proper action.
