(Falls of Rough, KY) – Kentucky State Police are investigating a wreck that left a man seriously injured and charged with DUI.
Central Dispatch received a call just before 9:00 p.m. that a single vehicle crash had occurred near the 8600 block of Falls of Rough Road.
Anthony Frank (43) was traveling north on Hwy 79 when he lost control of his 1984 Dodge pickup truck and ran off of the right shoulder of the roadway.
As the truck left the road, it overturned, struck a tree and came to a final rest in the front yard of a residence.
Frank was transported to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center and was later transferred to the University of Louisville Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries, according to KSP PAO Norman Chaffins.
Frank was not wearing a seat belt.
Frank was charged with DUI 1st Offense, No Operator’s License, Possession of Open Container in Motor Vehicle Prohibited, and Failure to Wear Seat Belt.
Frank wasn’t the only person charged with DUI as a result of the accident. A concerned relative who drove to the scene to check on Frank was arrested and charged Driving Under the Influence. The relatives name was not released.
