Body found in burning Danville home

DANVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Firefighters have discovered a body inside a burning home in Danville.

The Advocate-Messenger (http://bit.ly/11l7CMd ) reported the remains were sent to the state medical examiner's office in Frankfort for positive identification. However Danville Police Chief Tony Gray said one of the residents of the home, 37-year-old Margaret Libby Moore, had not been located after the fire, which was discovered early Wednesday.

Danville Fire Chief Woody Ball said the roof had collapsed when firefighters arrived shortly before 1 a.m. A neighbor reported it. Ball said the fire could have burned for some time before it was discovered.

The home was deemed a total loss.
