Irene C. Rishkofski, age 67, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (April 25, 2013) at her home in Leitchfield, KY.
She was born on December 9, 1945 in Bobubligen, West Germany, the daughter of the late Jon and Katherine Choch Korc.
She was a seamstress, who enjoyed needlepoint and gardening. She a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and was very active in the community as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Knights of Columbus #6743 and the St. Joseph Altar Society and a regular volunteer at the St. Joseph picnic.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony Rishkofski Sr., one daughter Christine Junker (Ernest) of Eden Valley, Minnesota; 3 sons Anthony Rishkofski Jr., (Kerry) of Big Clifty, Joseph Rishkofski (Veronica) of Elizabethtown, and Steven Rishkofski (Jennifer) also of Elizabethtown; 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Jon, Joseph (Brigeta), and Theo Korc all of Nuremberg, Germany; 2 sisters, Janina Fortnier of West Virginia and Maria Korc of Nuremberg, Germany; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Antoinette Rishkofski.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Monday, (April 29, 2013) at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Leitchfield with cremation to follow. Father Randy Howard will be officiating.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services. A prayer Service will be held at the Dermitt Funeral Home at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, (April 28, 2013).
