(Leitchfield, KY) – Several area banks in Grayson County have reported their customers and non-customers alike are receiving fraudulent phone calls from an unknown source.
The Cecilian Bank and Wilson and Muir Bank both said in press releases Wednesday morning that the phone calls claim the person’s bank debit card has been closed or compromised. The caller later asks the victim to enter their debit card number and personal identification number.
Anyone with a phone number seems to be at risk to receive this call.
Please be advised that this call is not coming from The Cecilian Bank or Wilson and Muir Bank. This is a phone phishing scam.
If you have given your personal information to one of these fraudulent phone calls, you are advised to call your bank and alert them.
